- Baldwin Engineering Holdings bought the business at the end of 2014
- Sales team spent the next few years travelling the world expanding the business, formed a partnership with AMF for English Muffin Lines worldwide.
- Sugden portfolio includes English Muffin Lines, Crumpet Lines, Pancake lines and various other hotplate production lines.
- Part of AMF’s portfolio was Vanderpol Waffle Systems. Sugden recognised that these lines would be a perfect fit to add to the Sugden portfolio and would enable worldwide expansion of the business.
- Negotiations therefore have taken place over the last 12 months for the acquisition of the intellectual property of Vanderpol allowing Sugden to manufacture, supply and install a full range of waffle systems.
- The acquisition finalised exactly 6 years to the day that Baldwin Engineering Holdings bought Sugden Ltd
- The acquisition was only made possible due to the fact that Sugden expanded in 2019 into a purpose built 35,000 square foot state of the art factory premises.
